Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming K-Royal Culture Festival, set to take place from April 26 to May 4 in Seoul. This nine-day event will feature a variety of interactive programs and performances across the city’s five Joseon-era palaces and the Jongmyo royal shrine.
The festival will showcase 24 unique programs, including reenactments of royal scenes, at historical sites such as Gyeongbokgung, the main palace, along with Deoksugung, Changgyeonggung, Changdeokgung, Gyeonghuigung, and Jongmyo.
The festival kicks off on April 26 with “Time Travel: Sejong,” a series of nighttime tours at Gyeongbokgung. This special tour will offer participants access to palace halls that have not been previously open to the public.
At Deoksugung, “The Royal Table” program will allow guests to sample traditional royal dishes. English-speaking guides will be on hand to explain the history and significance of the cuisine.
“Say Hello to Hanbok” at Changgyeonggung invites visitors to try on hanbok, the traditional Korean clothing, and take a leisurely tour of the palace grounds. The event includes opportunities for photos and sampling royal desserts.
For international visitors, “Morning at Changdeokgung” offers an English-language tour of the historic palace, with guides providing detailed explanations about its history.
Admission to the festival ranges from 5,000 won to 20,000 won, and there is no additional fee to enter the palaces. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketlink for Korean citizens and Creatrip for international guests.
