HOUSTON, Texas — Tickets are now on sale for Eldorado Ballroom Houston, a special event series curated by Solange Knowles through her creative agency, Saint Heron. Performing Arts Houston opened ticket sales on Tuesday, April 22, at 10 a.m.
The six-event series will run from June 10 to June 20, 2025, and take place at three Houston locations: Jones Hall, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the historic Eldorado Ballroom. The series is named in honor of the Eldorado Ballroom, a legendary venue that served as a cultural hub for Black touring musicians from the 1940s to the 1970s. It also celebrates Houston’s Third Ward, where Solange began her journey as an artist.
The opening night, titled On Dissonance (An Evening of Classical, Symphonic, and Opera Works), will be held on Tuesday, June 10, at Jones Hall. The concert will feature music by Julia Perry, Tania León, and Solange Knowles herself. The performance will be conducted by Jeri Lynne Johnson, founder and artistic director of the Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra in Philadelphia, with musicians from the Houston Symphony.
