BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Spotlight Theater Players in Denham Springs is now selling tickets for their new play, Peril on the Mighty Mississippi, which takes the audience on an adventurous journey from New Orleans to St. Louis along the Mississippi River. Tickets are available with an option to add a dinner package.
The play, featuring mystery, drama, and excitement, promises an entertaining experience for theatergoers. “It’s going to be absolutely hilarious, and the set is amazing,” said Chase Bernard, a board member and actor involved in the production.
In addition to enjoying the performance, attendees will have the chance to bid on a beautiful blue heart necklace, which holds significant meaning in the play.
Spotlight Theater’s Board President, Helene Wall, highlighted the positive changes the theater has seen this year, including increased community engagement. Wall also stressed that all of the theater’s performances are family-friendly, encouraging local families to attend.
“Community theater gets families out, gets the community involved, and supports local business owners. It’s a fun way to bring the community together and boost the local economy,” Wall said.
